Welcome to Vaulty. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Vaulty application (“Application” or “Software”), developed by Aditya Chaudhari in collaboration with Team Paradox.

By downloading, installing, compiling, or using Vaulty, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

1. Description of Software

Vaulty is an open-source, client-side personal document management application for Android and Web platforms. Vaulty acts solely as a direct client interface to your personal Google Drive storage account via Google OAuth 2.0. Vaulty does not provide cloud hosting, file relay servers, or storage infrastructure.

2. Open Source License

Vaulty is licensed under the MIT License. You are granted the right to use, inspect, modify, and distribute the Software subject to the terms and copyright notices set forth in the LICENSE file.

3. User Responsibilities & Account Security

  1. Google Account Requirements: You must have a valid Google account with sufficient Google Drive storage to use Vaulty’s cloud persistence features.
  2. Account Credentials: You are solely responsible for safeguarding your Google account credentials, device PIN, and biometric security settings.
  3. Lawful Use: You agree not to use Vaulty for any unlawful purpose, including the storage, transmission, or dissemination of illegal materials.
  4. Data Backups: While Vaulty facilitates structured storage in Google Drive, you remain responsible for maintaining independent backups of critical documents.

4. Third-Party Services (Google APIs)

Vaulty interacts directly with Google APIs (Google Sign-In and Google Drive API). Your use of Google services is subject to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

The developers of Vaulty are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC. We are not responsible for any service interruptions, API changes, quota enforcements, or account suspensions imposed by Google.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY, INTEGRITY, ACCURACY, AND PERFORMANCE OF THE APPLICATION RESIDES WITH YOU. IN NO EVENT SHALL ADITYA CHAUDHARI, TEAM PARADOX, OR ANY CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, CORRUPTION OF FILES, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR DEVICE, HARDWARE MALFUNCTION, OR ANY OTHER DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS APPLICATION.

6. Modifications to the Software

The authors reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the Software or any part thereof at any time without prior notice.
